Wedding of Amanda and Mark

Ceremony and Reception was held at the Ebell Club in Long Beach www.ebellcub.com One of my new favorite venues. I love where the Ceremony takes place with the Spanish feel and the hints of blue throughout the venue.

Amanda's bouquet featured all white peonies with a collar of ivory satin ribbon loops. Yummy! Centerpieces were tall glass cylinders with submerged curly willow to bring in the brown wood tones into the design. The arrangements that sat upon the cylinders featured white hydrangeas, white peonies, ivory roses and other white seasonal flowers. Accenting the pearls strands to all of these designs really brought that romantic vintage feel in.

Bobby Brown photography www.bobbybrownphotography.com captured these beautiful shots. Exquisite work for a lifetime of memories. Thank you Bobby for the photos. Congratulations Amanda and Mark!

Weddin of Faye and Vien

I first want to tell the story behind the flowers. Upon the first meeting with Faye, she HAD to have green cymbiudium orchids in her bouquet. Sure!!!....I go to pick up her flowers and that was the one flower that did not make it on my cart. WHAT??? I dont watch TV and am not updated on news, shame on me....but that was when the Volcano erupted and no planes were flying to the US.
At this point, I figured I could just buy a plant. 4 stops and none to be found. Phone calls to other growers and still no luck. I just needed one stem. Faye wanted these orchids and had to find them.
One last phone call to a woman that stopped in when we first opened the studio. I remembered that she had mentioned that she grew all kinds of unique flowers/plants and I gave her a ring. Polly Pon had 2 stems in her yard. They were the most GORGEOUS cymbidium orchids I had ever seen.
Thank you Polly!
The location of the Ceremony and Reception was held at Ponte Winery in Temecula. This venue is beautiful! Awesome Photography was by Kaila Williams at www.kayraephotography.com. Thank you Kaila for the photos. Congratulations Faye and Vien!

Tiffany blue and brown on the beach

This wedding was done all over the phone. My client called and told me she liked one of my bouquets on empora's website. She says " just do whatever"....Giving me free reign and going by brief descriptions from her, gave me the chance to express floral artistry.
The ceremony was on the beach. To bring in her tiffany blue color, I found seashells that had that hint of blue and rolled magnolia leaves to bring in her brown. The white phalaenopsis orchids brought the whole thing together as they kind of free flowed in the bouquet. It was pretty!
The reception was an intimate party held at Wokcano Restaraunt in Long Beach. It was perfect! The decor here was in dark browns with hints of light blue. We did a series a glass cylinders filled with colored blue water, and I made a structure out of bleached Manzanita to lay across the top of the cylinders for the white phals to stay secure. And you cant go wrong with a runner of seashells.
Congratulations Leonor and Michael!
Marisa- The flowers were outstanding! Thank you for all the wonderful work you did. Wokcano was very impressed with you as well and they told me that they would use you for future venues. Leonor-

Easter Sunday

Empora did the flowers at First Evangelical Free Church for Easter this past Sunday. When you entered the church, I did 2 large glass cylinders and put 1 bunch of forsythia in each. Having the bunch tilt to the side, almost gave it an arch effect for people to walk through as they entered the church. I then grouped some hot pink snapdragons and added bear grass for some flow and a monstera leaf to stop your eye. I really loved this look.

The main stage had 5 sets of 2 glass cylinders filled with forsythia, orange snap dragons, bells of ireland, easter lillies, heather and was accented with bear grass and monstera leaves. Being that the main church is so large, I figured doing the arrangement in groups like this would make the flowers look more substantial in such a large room. It was hot!!! I loved it.

They have a smaller church to the back that is alot more contemporary in look. Since they were having more of rock music here, I decided to do a take off Jeff Latham and do tall squares with big hand tied bouquets of hot pink snapdragons, orange roses, easter lillies, monstera leaves and bear grass. This church had alot of geometrical line so I wanted something very clean and modern.

Wedding of Kari and Mike

Over the weekend, we did a wedding at the Imperial Ballroom located in Fullerton, Ca. This place is gorgeous! The colors that my clients picked went so well with the ballroom. The Brides choice of Manzanita branches with hanging crystals and white orchids, made this room exquisite! This entire wedding was just beautiful. It made an elegant and almost bold statement. When you walked in, it felt warm and almost regal.
Congratulations Kari and Mike! You two were so fun to work with!

Foundation for Kids

Sweet centerpieces for the Foundation for Kids event held at Citrus City Grill Corona. I love this unique color combination of reds, fuscia and turquoise. The turquoise just make the red roses and fuscia gerbera daisies pop! The red roses represented the donors, gerberas for the girls and the bow was for the boys.

Me and Poe

My best friend of 15 years...Poe my dog. Cloud9 Photography took these pictures of us. I just wanted to share Poe with you. I love her so much and she has been by my side ever since I was 15.

Pre Christmas Party

A very good client of mine had a Pre-Christmas Party for family and friends. She loves tropical design so I incorporated red ginger, white dendrobium orchids, gold ti leaves, cedar, snowy curly willow branches and matte red Christmas balls, my favorite.
She is so great to work with as she always gives me free reign to do whatever I want. She just calls me, tells me how many arrangements she needs and lets me take it form there. Thank you Mona!

Wrist Corsage

A custom wrist corsage for Lilliana's 30th Birthday. Her favorite colors are blue and purple. I love making these. Especially when I get to play with such great accents like the colored pearl headed pins and gems. Happy Birthday Girl!!! Can't wait to have tea!
